Traffic axle load monitoring in the form of High Speed Weigh In Motion(HSWIM) has groomedover last three decades. Technologies have become robust enough to allow us for the deployment of sophisticated integrated systems with a highdegree of confidence that expectations will be met and in some cases exceeded. High-Speed WIM is capable of recording axle load data & vehicle classification by using class 1 Piezo ElectricSensors. The WIM system is used as a statistical data gathering device to record the pattern of highway traffic loading. For weight enforcement, suspected overloaded vehiclescan be separated.
